It started with a whale. Ever since he saw the logo of the now defunct Hartford Whalers hockey team at the age of 5, Jared has been infatuated with logos and design. Jared has been designing since the age of 14 years old. With a bootlegged version of Adobe Photoshop and a passion for creating, he began to teach himself the fundamentals of graphic design. Within a year, he was being asked to create concert posters and marketing materials for local musicians, as well as nationally-recognized musicians who were passing through Ontario on tours.
After completing 3 years towards a history degree at Brock University (2006-2009), Jared landed a summer job as a Jr. Graphic Designer at a print shop specializing in vehicle wraps and large-scale signage, where he was able to hone his skills even more. That summer job turned full-time, and graphic design quickly replaced history as his main focus and he knew it was the right career path for him. After a couple years, Jared decided he had the experience and clientele to become a freelance designer full-time, and worked with many businesses and organizations across Canada on projects that ranged from business card designs to full fledged branding projects.
In 2013, he joined a local Inbound Marketing startup as the lead graphic designer. The agency quickly grew to become one of the leaders in Inbound Digital Marketing in Canada, with a client base scattered across the globe. Here, he was able to learn the inner workings of a true marketing agency and was responsible for creating and overseeing effective and attractive marketing campaigns and branding projects.
At FMP Productions, Jared assists clients with all creative aspects to help promote their cause and spread the message of their mission.
Deeply rooted in his local community, Jared has served on multiple boards for local events, and has successfully ran many of his own. He is passionate about supporting and creating awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, and has helped organize fundraisers in support of www.cureSMA.ca. When he's not in front of his computer designing, you will probably find him watching his beloved Bruins and listening to the Boss, Bruce Springsteen.
